Day 005

Practicing HTML Lists and Tables

What I Learned

HTML Lists

I practiced three kinds of HTML lists:

  • <ul> for unordered lists
  • <ol> for ordered lists
  • <dl> for description lists

In my current practice, ordered lists are less common than unordered lists, but I learned how they work and when they can be useful.

HTML Tables

I practiced the basic table elements:

  • <table> for the table
  • <tr> for a row
  • <td> for a regular cell
  • <th> for a header cell

I also learned the main table structure elements:

  • <thead> for the table head
  • <tbody> for the table body
  • <tfoot> for the table footer

The footer is not common in my current practice, but it is part of the complete table structure.

Merging Cells

I learned about merging table cells with colspan and rowspan. Manual adjustment can be difficult, so I can use AI assistance when a table needs more complicated merging.

English

I can now recite Lesson 7 of New Concept English 2.

Video Work

I edited a video with CapCut and uploaded a technology video to Bilibili.

Exercise

I went swimming once.
