Day 011

Learning CSS Stylesheets and Type Selectors

What I Learned

CSS Stylesheets

I practiced three ways to use CSS:

  • Inline styles written directly on an HTML element
  • Internal styles written in a <style> block
  • External styles written in a separate stylesheet

I used these stylesheets to change text color, size, and other presentation details.

Type Selectors

I learned how to use type selectors to choose the HTML elements that CSS should modify. For example, a p selector can style all paragraphs, while an h1 selector can style all top-level headings.

Reading

I read The Temple.

English

I studied Lesson 11, One Good Turn Deserves Another, from New Concept English 2. I can now recite the whole text fluently.

Life Skills

I learned how to make egg fried rice and how to cut vegetables.
